WHY SOME OEM PARTS ARE CAUSING NEW PROBLEMS

OEM parts that are made in the USA, except for their costs, do not cause problems (if the OEM ships) - if a question arises - you can call someone to get the job done. But now, after a decade or two of many OEMs changing to import production, the same problems

are occurring with them as with all other import parts. As A result, many OEM's now only back up their products for a short period of time and when problems occur you are effectively "phone treed" to death and eventually have to go elsewhere, if you need something done quickly.

There is no sinister corporate intent here, it is just an inevitable and inherent problem involved with new worldwide markets.

Computers, TVs and most other appliances have effectively become "disposables" - and now these types of problems have spread into the plumbing industry!

WHY IMPORT PARTS CAUSE PROBLEMS

It is impossible to know who actually makes an import part and consequently when problems or questions arise it usually is never answered or corrected. It is an inherent problem when dealing with an unknown manufacturer, from a different culture, who speaks a different language, who is located God knows where, on the other side of the globe, when trying to get answers concerning a relatively inexpensive item. It simply not worth the time and everyone gives up.
